Open Letters
Open Letter to the White People of the United States:
Greetings:
Let us introduce ourselves. We are an organization of African-American men and women from unions, churches and community and business groups.
We are deeply concerned about the poor state of race relations between African-Americans and white citizens, particularly since nearly every study shows that the aspirations, values and goals of blacks and whites are basically the same, except for the issue of race.

An Open Letter to Senator Barak Obama:
Dear Senator Obama:
I applaud your speech to the American people on Race, over national television on March 18, 2008. It was fitting, proper, necessary and timely, for you to stand tall before this nation, and condemn, again the incendiary statement "God Damn America" made by Dr. Rev. Wright of your church.

An Open Letter to Ward Connerly, Black Member of UC Berkeley Regency, Appointed by Former Gov. Pete Wilson, Republican:
Dear Mr. Connerly:
since you were successful in your fight against affirmative action by the passage of Proposition #209, you have been going around the country–fighting affirmative action, characterizing blacks as dead-beats who make no effort to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps.

Open Letter on Affirmative Action to Senator David Jane:
Dear Senator Jaye:
Please find enclosed a copy of an "open letter" to the White people of the United States. It's pretty much self-explanatory.
