Against the backdrop of the above statistical profile and the fact that Whites constitute 79 % of the eligible voters in the nation. I am reminded of an old saying in the Deep South, "You are Free, White and 21 (81+)" and the ball is in your court!!"

The statistical comparison of the economic condition of Blacks to Whites in terms of "percentages" is used by Race Card Politicians - as a political ploy - a propaganda placebo.

For example, lets take issue of those who do not have health insurance in the United States today; in percentages:

Whites 15%
Blacks 22%

This higher percentage of Blacks, fits neatly into the general propaganda that Blacks are "deadbeats" - as stereotypes over National Radio and TV in the 1980's by Ronald Reagan and his Welfare Queen.

But now here is the comparison in raw numbers - a nose count.

Whites 33,252,000
Blacks 7,432,000

This comparison in raw numbers shed a whole new light and a fresh perspective on the same issue; but it evokes a sea-change in attitudes and perception.

It quantifies and reveals concretely, the depth and true dimension of the problem of economic insecurity of millions of White people in the United States. A percentage comparison hides these facts.

If 7,432,000 Blacks don't have health insurance because they are "deadbeats" - what about the 33,252,000 Whites without heath care who were - "born free"?
